Newbie

I opened my first bottle last night that I received from the Wine of the Month Club, the Sycamore Lane '10 Cabernet. Very smooth and quite nice on the tongue. I really like it. Can't wait to try the next one, the Opolo Vineyards '06 Merlot.

Wine of the Month

I just opened the Viccar's Choice SB and WOW... It is really good.  I am certainly not in the Frazier Crane level of wine tasting but I know what I like.  I love the smell, the body and the TASTE!!!  The best compliment I believe you can give a wine is that it is GOOD.  This is truly the nectar of the gods and my hat is off to the Club for finding this treasure.  Thank you and I will order more.

However, countries such as Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and other South and Central American countries were making world class wines as well. Well, a few months ago I tasted Chinese wines that are actually here in America. In 1993, while at… Continue

Region or Grape on the label...what is your preference?

One of the first facts of wine that I discuss during seminars or wine tastings is the how wine labels are handled by different parts of the world. Europe tradionally will label their wines by region;…Continue
